BIO
Late Night Thoughts is the folk-pop duo of Brian Rauch and Michael Harlow, a pair of young, grounded artists sharing their musically intuitive minds to create an emotional ride you’ve got to hear to believe.
Although they grew up separately, both Brian and Michael started their musical journeys at a young age. Brian has been singing since he can remember, echoing tunes from John Mayer to Elton John. Michael's musical journey began with the drums and later expanded to piano, guitar, ukulele, melodica, trumpet, bass, banjo, and last but not least, didgeridoo. The combination of their complementary talents meshed seamlessly even before the inception of the duo.
The pair met while attending Brandeis University and began to write and perform across Massachusetts. They forged a friendship through a shared love for songwriting, beginning in a class titled “Protest Through Song” and blossoming as they realized their keen ability to harmonize. Their first EP, Moonlit Memories, was released in 2018 and helped them burst onto the scene. Slowly they grew their audience by performing locally and at colleges up and down the east coast. Before graduating they released their second EP, Worth It, as a culmination of their bittersweet goodbye to college, collectively amassing over two million streams on various platforms. Garnering praise from multiple outlets such as Beat Magazine, Alternative Addiction, and Ear to the Ground, their early releases have given their audience a great taste of what is to come.
Since graduating, the duo relocated to NYC where they have performed at various venues including Rockwood Music Hall, The Delancey, Mercury Lounge and The Well. Between all of their musical adventures they are carefully crafting their first full length album, ready for a new chapter of LNT.
